Our School Day

Our Breakfast Club (Sunrise Club) opens at 7:45am, and pupils may arrive any time between 7:45am and 8:30am. Please note that there is no admission after 8:30am.

The school day begins with a calm, purposeful start. The morning gate opens at 8:40am and closes at 8:50am. Pupils walk straight to their classroom door, where they are welcomed by their teacher and begin early morning activities to get their brains warmed up for the day.

We gather for collective worship on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 9:00am. On Fridays, this gathering is a celebration of pupils’ achievements throughout the week.

Daily phonics and whole-class reading sessions take place at 10:50am.

Playtime for Years 1–6 runs from 10:30am to 10:50am.

Lunchtime arrangements vary slightly between year groups. Nursery and Reception begin lunch at 11:45am, while Years 1–6 have lunch from 12:15pm to 1:15pm. All pupils have a full hour to eat (either a school meal or packed lunch) and enjoy outdoor play.

Key Stage 1 pupils enjoy a flexible 15-minute afternoon playtime between 2:00pm and 2:30pm.

The school day finishes at 3:10pm for Nursery to Year 2, and at 3:15pm for Years 3–6.

We offer a variety of after-school clubs running from 3:20pm to 4:20pm, as well as a Twilight Club from 4:15pm to 5:45pm. All sessions must be pre-booked via the school office.
