Our House System

At Bishop John Robinson CofE Primary School, our House System plays an important role in building teamwork, sportsmanship, and a strong sense of belonging. Our four houses — St David, St Patrick, St George, and St Andrew — are named after the patron saints of the United Kingdom, reflecting our shared values of courage, service, and unity.

Every pupil and member of staff belongs to one of these houses, creating a supportive family atmosphere that spans all year groups. Throughout the year, pupils take part in a wide range of friendly competitions, including mini-marathons, spelling bees, debates, and sporting events. These activities encourage children to challenge themselves, celebrate each other’s achievements, and work together towards a common goal.

House points are awarded for effort, teamwork, good behaviour, and participation, helping pupils to take pride in both their personal contributions and their house’s success. Our House System strengthens community spirit, builds confidence, and helps every child feel valued as part of a wider team.
