Black History 365

At Bishop John Robinson CofE Primary School, we celebrate Black History 365 — recognising that Black history, culture, and achievement deserve to be honoured not just for one month, but throughout the entire year.

Black History 365 is woven into our curriculum and daily school life. Through meaningful learning experiences, stories, role models, and class projects, pupils explore the significant contributions Black individuals have made locally, nationally, and globally. We celebrate heritage, identity, creativity, resilience, and the diverse voices that shape our world.

This commitment is especially important to us because it reflects and celebrates the rich diversity of our school community and the demographic we serve. Ensuring our pupils see themselves represented in their learning helps them feel valued, empowered, and proud of who they are.

Our approach encourages pupils to value equality, respect, and justice, reflecting our Christian ethos and our commitment to ensuring every child feels seen, represented, and supported.

By embracing Black History 365, we aim to inspire our pupils to learn from the past, celebrate the present, and shape a future where everyone can thrive.
