Friends of BJR

We know that children thrive when parents are actively involved in their education, and we are fortunate to have a school community where families offer invaluable support in many aspects of daily school life.

The Friends of BJR will be re-launching in January, led by Mr Elegbede, who will work alongside a dedicated team of parents, carers, staff, and local community members. Together, they will explore ways to make a positive contribution to school life and strengthen our community partnerships.

This collaborative group will give parents and carers opportunities to develop their own skills and support their children’s learning at home through a variety of workshops, including Maths, English, Relationships and Well-being, Healthy Eating, and Behaviour Management. It will also enable the school to support the wider community by organising fundraising events such as our Christmas, Easter, and Summer Fairs.

To help us make the most of the enthusiasm, expertise, and willingness of our families to become more involved in school life, we encourage parents and carers to:

  • Volunteer in classrooms

  • Support and accompany school trips

  • Attend class assemblies and Praise Worship

  • Join us for school performances, events, and celebrations

  • Take part in school projects

  • Participate in Family and Adult Learning sessions

  • Join or support our school fundraising group

If you would like more information about the Friends of BJR or are interested in getting involved, please contact the school office.
