Science Intent

We cover the National Curriculum through practical and hands-on activities that engage and enthuse the children.

From Nursery to Year 6, Science is taught regularly by a Science specialist. As a school, we aim for Science lessons to encourage curiosity and spark interest. Children are reminded that Science is part of our everyday lives and will most certainly play a part in their future careers.

Children are encouraged to ask questions and find things out for themselves. We take the approach that we are all scientists! Our Science lessons are fun and informative, which lay strong foundations for each child’s next stage of education and their future.

We are very proud to hold the Primary Science Quality Mark for our Science teaching and strive to enrich each child’s Science capital.
